Zinnias are native to Mexico, South America & the southwestern United States. They bloom from mid-summer until the first frost. Flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds, which are responsible for the pollination of these plants. There are tons of varieties and colors and they are my absolute favorite thing to plant in the summer! In the Ohio climate, they do best planted by seed every year, but you’ll never be sorry when you come home every day to hundreds of blooming zinnias and butterflies flitting to each one!
